Office Space Planners provided programming, space planning and move coordination services to Davis Wright Tremaine’s (DWT) law office. As part of phase I, OSP’s project team was responsible for temporarily relocating the firm’s law library containing 148 shelving stacks of books and 150 employee/work areas. OSP’s project manager worked closely with DWT’s facilities project manager and the building owner’s facilities project manager, general contractor, high & low voltage contractor and building engineers. This included facilitation of move meetings, job cost estimation, space planning using Steelcase systems furniture for workstations and existing case goods for hard wall offices. A full inventory was completed of all of DWT’s existing case good furniture, including the exact layout of each piece to ensure that the temporary offices would be set up exactly like the original layout.
The second phase of the project involved move coordination of the firm’s 148 shelving stacks of books and 150 employee/work areas. Again, the project manager worked closely the DWT’s facilities project manager and the building owner’s facilities project manager, general contractor, high & low voltage contractor and building engineers.
OSP’s move coordinators were on-site for a total of four weekends to complete both phases of the project.
